Tiare Mata is a storyteller. The first female to graduate from Hawaii's first film school The Academy for Creative Media in 2007, Tiare has been creating cinematic excitement through film and television daily. After graduating from UH Manoa's film school Tiare traveled to San Francisco to study the art of scriptwriting. Tiare attended graduate school at the esteemed art college The Academy of Art University in the heart of San Fran. Currently, Tiare is attending HPU pursing a Masters of Art degree in Communication. Born and raised in Kailua, Oahu and Anahola, Kauai Tiare has the kuleana of empowering the youth of Hawaii to tell their own stories to a mass audience through the use of filmmaking and television production. Tiare has taught at Halau Ku Mana and Kanuikapono Charter Schools, as well as Ho'ike Kauai TV as the Community Outreach Manager navigating the course for many voices to be heard and seen on-screen.
